Manila American Cemetery honors Supreme Sacrifices by Americans in the Southwest Pacific in World War II. One hundred and fifty-two hallowed acres are graced by 17,206 graves and 36,285 names on the Tablets of Missing. Among these revered are 974 Indiana soldiers and sailors within 295 graves. Additionally, 679 Hoosier servicemen are exalted in names engraved in the Tablets of the Missing.
